Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Therapy, Minor in Psychology
20+ years experience working with kids. Worked as a Childrens’ Program Coordinator, Camp Director, Program Director, Middle School Tutor/Paraprofessional, and experience as a 3rd grade classroom teacher.
I come from a large family, having 3 brothers and 3 sisters. I myself have a daughter, Mikayla, who is 10yrs old and entering 5th grade. My son’s name is Cody and he is 8yrs old, entering 3rd grade.
My greatest passion is art. Art has always been a huge part of my life since I was young. I used craft and draw constantly. I continued that passion in my education, pursuing an art degree. Today I still stay very connected to my art, creating my own work, doing custom work as well as sharing my passion by teaching others art.
One of my favorite authors is Shel Silverstein. I love The Giving Tree, as well as his collection of poems in both, Where the Sidewalk Ends and A Light in the Attic.
Some interesting facts about me would include that I have lived in two different countries, besides the US, Germany and South Korea. I have traveled to five other countries as well, including Japan where my family and I climbed Mt. Fuji. There are two states, Oregon and Washington, I have left to visit before I have been to all fifty states. I love the outdoors, so my family does a lot of hiking and camping. My favorite seasons are summer and fall.
