#Kindness Counts
Becoming Kindness All-Stars at St. Anna School!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women (except for skin cancer). Millions of women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, including family members of our own faculty.
The third grade chose the American Cancer Society as their organization to support because they are one of the leading organizations for cancer research. They fund programs that help women access early detection tests and better treatment if they are diagnosed. Pink Out days are popular fundraisers in which the members of a community (like a school or an office) wear pink for the day to support breast cancer research. Students who donate to the American Cancer Society will be allowed to dress down, as long as they wear pink! Comments are closed.
