By the completion of eighth grade, students should be able to:  

1. have keyboarding skills between 25-30 wpm with fewer than 5 errors;
2. solve problems and communicate using a variety of media;
3. to access and exchange information;
4. compile, organize, analyze, and synthesize information;
5. draw conclusions and make generalizations from information gathered;
6. understand what they read and locate additional information as needed;
7. become self-directed learners;
8. collaborate and cooperate in team efforts;
9. analyze a problem and develop an algorithmic solution; and,
10. interact with others using computers in ethical and appropriate ways.
