The primary goal of the mathematics program is to help students recognize the relationships represented by the language of mathematics and to learn essential problem-solving skills by analyzing strategies and solutions.  An effective mathematics program features a balance of arithmetical skill and creative mathematical reasoning.  Our mathematics program focuses on conceptual foundations in three areas: computation, logic and reasoning.  Students discover rather than memorize mathematical relationships.
