Extended Day Care

Where new friends are made!

The Extended Day Program was started in 1995 as a direct result of the need for providing quality care beyond the regular school day for the children of St. Anna School.

Our goal is to provide a safe, familiar, and comfortable atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for fun and learning for those times when you cannot be with your child due to work or other obligations.

Activities that are developmentally appropriate are offered on a daily basis. There are many opportunities for social interaction with other children of various ages. Sports, crafts, homework club, and quiet time are some of the activities offered.

Hours of Operation

Before School Care: 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. After School Care: 3:15 – 5:30 p.m. To ensure proper record keeping, children must be signed in to Before School Care and they must be signed out of After School Care.

Attendance

All children who attend St. Anna School are eligible to attend. The children may attend both the before school and the after school program on an as-needed basis.

Extended Day Care is available on early release days. Children must bring their own lunch.

Extended Day Care is not available on snow days, holidays, or vacation days.

Although pre-registration is required, emergencies do arise from time to time. If such a situation arises during the day and you unexpectedly need child-care, please contact the school office to arrange for your child to attend the Extended Day Program. At no time, is a child allowed to attend unless a note has been sent to the teacher or a call has been made to the school office.

Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct, as explained in the Parent-Student Handbook, applies to the Before School and the After School Extended Day Care Program.

Rates

Daily rates are pro-rated as follows:

Before School Care Arrival at:

Release Days:

Payment Schedule

Payments: Weekly or Monthly.

Payment may be made on the last day of each week in attendance, or payments may be made on the last day of each month. Payments may be made by check, payable to St. Anna School or payments may be made in cash, exact change only.

To facilitate billing, separate checks must be made for Before School Care and After School Care. This system will help alleviate any confusion.

Late Charges

We have implemented a policy regarding late pick-ups. You will be charged $ 5.00 for every five minutes that you are late picking up your child/children after 5:30 p.m. With the exception of inclement weather, determined by the staff, all late pick-ups will be charged accordingly.

Delinquent Accounts

If any account is thirty days overdue, the child/children may no longer attend the program.

Cancellations/Delays

Please remember, if school is delayed one-hour, Before School Care is also delayed one-hour. If school is delayed two-hours, Before School Care is not available.

After School Care is available immediately at the end of the school day until 5:30 p.m. After School Care will only be cancelled should there be a “State of Emergency”.

Medications

Extended Day Staff are not allowed, by law, to dispense any medications. Arrangements should be made directly with the school nurse for any medications, which may need to be given during the school hours. Children may not bring medications, prescription or non-prescription, to Extended Day.

SNACKS

Since snacks are not provided for the Before School Care session, children are welcome to bring their own morning snacks. Although snacks are provided for the After School Care session at no extra charge, children may bring their snacks.
