Fr. James B. Callahan

Pastor/Headmaster

I come from a family of six children.  The siblings are about a year apart in age.  I am the youngest.  We have remained very close and stay in contact with each other, due to a home that nourished in us a faith in Christ in the Catholic Tradition with a special devotion to the Blessed Mother.

That devotion would eventually lead me to respond to a call to the priesthood.   This call has taken me on a wonderful journey.  I graduated Seminary with a Masters in Divinity and was ordained on June 6, 1998.  I have served three parishes thus far as a priest, the first as an Associate Pastor and the second two as Pastor.

I am somewhat of a perfectionist, in the sense that I always look for improvement both with myself and the parish I serve.  I believe there is always room for improvement and growth in whatever we do. As a headmaster of St. Anna School, I am learning the importance of an education that helps our children in that process of growth as faith-filled and educated citizens.

I have a special love for music, the acoustic guitar, sharing time with family and friends, and living the gospel in word and sacrament, most especially the Eucharist.
