I’ve lived in Groton on Lost Lake since 2002 but previously taught Reading and Writing in Maine from 1985 until my family moved to Massachusetts.  Since then, I have worked as a Reading Specialist and Reading Recovery teacher in Groton, and as a Study Skills and Reading/Writing tutor at the Sylvan Learning Center in Acton.

Reading is my favorite thing to do and I spend a lot of time with books of every genre.  I like to write poetry, as well as memoirs of family life growing up in Wisconsin and Vermont.  I have a large family and there are many stories to tell.

Although reading and writing are my favorite literary activities, my favorite hobby is photographing and identifying mushrooms.  I also like to knit, quilt and make beaded jewelry and handmade paper.
