Grade 3 Teacher

I was born and raised in a small town in Maine.  After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Southern Maine and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.  Upon receiving my degree, I was employed in a variety of software ad computer firms.

Longing to teach, I left my job to return to school and obtain a Masters in Education from Anna Maria College.  After graduation, I taught as a long-term substitute for a fourth grade class in the Leicester School System.  Then I came to St. Anna School where I have enjoyed teaching the children for five years.

I have a wonderful husband, George, better known as Durk.  We have raised two daughters who have become lovely young women.  Shannon has graduated from the Honors College of the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Psychology.  She has returned to further pursue her studies and participate in an internship program with a hospital in Bangor, Maine.  Kayla is a graduate of Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a focus in marketing.
