SOCKS FOR SANTA
The second and third grade students have begun a 3 month service project in which we will be collecting white cotton or thermal socks or cotton underwear to be distributed to homeless shelters, women’s shelters, and the elderly of our community. We often don’t realize or simply forget that those in need have needs other than food.
It is our hope that each student in grades two through eight might participate by bringing a small package of socks or underwear each month (Oct., Nov., Dec.) to be collected by the second and third grade students and distributed to the appropriate agency for distribution to residents who live in our school community area.
Please consider helping those who are in need of socks or underwear for the cold winter ahead.
A small package of socks or underwear each month is a small price to pay for knowing that the elderly in our neighborhoods are going to be warm this winter.
Thank You from the second and third grade students of St. Anna Catholic School
Join us for some shopping and light snacks on November 14th from 6:00-8:00 in the church hall.

BOOKS & BEYOND
Books and Beyond is a PTO sponsored literacy incentive program for students in PreK-3 through 3rd Grade. It is an "outside of school" reading program, designed to motivate young students to read beyond the classroom. The ultimate goal of the program is to encourage a life-long love of reading!
This year's program will run from Wednesday, November 1, 2017 to Monday, April 30, 2018. We will have a kick off assembly after lunch on November 1st and unveil this year’s theme. More detailed information about the program will be emailed home soon.
Our annual Veteran’s Day program will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 10:00. All students participate in the program and sing a variety of patriotic songs and more! We are honored to have many Veteran guests at our program. We invite everyone to join us that morning.
We've had a few glitches... but hopefully the NJHS Friday Ice Cream Sales will up and running for October 27th. Ice Cream is $1 and available during lunch. PK-2 students usually give their money and 'order' to the classroom teacher in the morning.
