SOCKS FOR SANTA
November’s Virtue is Service. We’d love to have ALL of our students participate in this fulfilling service project by donating at least 4 pair of socks. Our goal is to DOUBLE the amount we collected last year…. 1000 socks! That’s a lot of socks but I know our students are up for the challenge. This is the perfect way to be in service to others and supporting those in need at our local homeless shelters, women’s shelters and the elderly of our community.
Please consider helping those who are in need of socks or underwear for the cold winter ahead.
A small package of socks or underwear each month is a small price to pay for knowing that the elderly in our neighborhoods are going to be warm this winter.

Please join the Friends of St. Anna PTO to ring in the Advent season with a Family Advent Wreath making night on November 30th from 6:00-7:00 in the school cafeteria. The cost is only $10 per family and includes the supplies for making your fairy themed wreath (candles are not provided). We are asking that families pre-register here before November 25th so we have an accurate count for supplies. We have space for up to 15 families to join us and there are about 3 openings left!
HEARTS FOR HEAT
The grade 6-7-8 students are planning their annual service project to raise funds through a Thanksgiving Bake Sale for families of our parish who may be in need of assistance this year in the purchase of home heating oil. Our Virtue of the month for November is SERVICE. This is another opportunity for our students to be in service to others. All students are welcome to bake for the bake sale.
The middle school students plan to sell homemade baked goods to members of the school community who come to parent-teachers conferences on Monday, Nov. 20th and Tuesday, Nov. 21st.
All profits from this endeavor go directly to the purchase of oil through Fraticelli. Last year we were able to provide almost $700.00 from the bake sale towards this goal.
If you are willing and able to bake a cake, cupcakes, pie, cookies, breads, or any other “sweet” which the students can sell during parent conferences, please contact Mrs. Priddy
And don't forget to stop by the sale when you come to conferences! Lots of delicious treats for everyone.
Our Annual Turkey Trot will take place on Tuesday, November 21st at 9:30. Everyone gets to wear their gym uniforms to school today!
Students in grades K-2 will run laps around the lawn across the street where we now have some gym classes. Mr. Farnsworth will have a 'track' marked with cones. Volunteers help tally the number of laps they complete while they are cheered on by the preschoolers and older students.
Students in grades 3-8 then complete their turkey trot race on a route that goes from the in front of the church, down sixth street, across middle and eventually finishes back in front of the church where the other students are able to cheer them on as they cross the finish! ALL students in K-8 are welcome to sign up to race. There is no fee; however we ask that everyone brings in a non-perishable food item to help restock the St. Anna food pantry. Mrs. Priddy is also looking for helpers to supervise along the route or track the younger students' laps. Please email her if you’re able to help that morning.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
Join us on December 2nd at Applebee’s for breakfast with Santa from 8:00-10:00. Feel free to stop by before or after basketball too. You can have your picture taken with the Santa, create a nativity scene and enjoy a delicious breakfast of 3 pancakes, bacon, coffe/juice. Tickets are on sale in the office- $10 per person ($40 family cap for immediate family members). Please purchase your tickets ahead of time.
MOVIE FIELD TRIP
All students in grades K-8 will be attending the movies in Fitchburg on John Fitch Hwy December 6th. Students in grades K-4 will see The Star and grades 5-8 will see Wonder. The cost of the trip is $5. Parents are welcome to join us. You would need to pay the $5 and meet us at the theatre. We will be leaving the school at 9:00- please arrive by 8:30. The movie will begin at 9:30. The concessions are closed. Please take a minute to fill out the permission form for your child.
Mark your calendars for this year’s FREE PTO Movie Night! This is our way of saying thank you for all you do to support the PTO all year long! It will be held on Saturday, December 2nd from 5:00-8:00. This is a great opportunity for parents to drop off the kids for a quiet dinner or a little Christmas shopping. The kids will enjoy pizza, popcorn, crafts, activities and they will watch “Beethoven”. Don’t forget to wear your pj’s and bring a pillow or blanket to get cozy to watch the movie! All St. Anna students are invited to attend.
We also need some volunteers to make this event successful! Please contact Julie Keiselbach if you'd like to volunteer.

The St. Anna PTO will once again offer "One Stop Shopping" for all of your Christmas Gift Card needs! You can order all of your gift cards in one place, at one time and they are delivered directly to the school. No running from store to store or standing in long lines. There are over 300 major retailers to choose from and the biggest bonus - the retailers donate a portion of the cards value back to St. Anna School! It is fundraising while you shop! You can also order gift cards and use them for your everyday purchases. Stock up on Dunkin Donuts, Panera or Starbucks cards and use them to purchase your morning coffee.

If you don't want to create an online account, you can download a copy of the order form and submit it with your payment to Mrs. Priddy in the main office.
The PTO will be placing 3 orders this Christmas season. The order deadlines are Monday, December 4th, December 11th and December 18th .
Paper order forms need to be turned in to the main office before the end of the school day, on the day of the deadline. Online orders can be submitted up to 6:30pm EST on the day of the deadline.

Athletics & Activities
Ski/Snowboard Club-winter is quickly approaching. The beautiful leaves on the mountain will soon be gone and the fluffy white stuff will be flying from the new snow making machine. It will then be time to strap on your skis or boards! Join us on Wednesdays from 4:00-8:00 beginning on January 3rd for the 6 week program.
Students must sign up on-line with the mountain for this program. Please let us know if you are signing up!

Uniforms will not be handed out until your player has turned in the $80 registration fee (you'll get $20 back if you work concessions) and the concussion training certificate.

December Lunch Menu
Don't forget lunch milk is available for $0.50 for those that bring lunch from home. You can send money to school weekly or monthly. Please clearly mark the envelope with your child's name and which days they are having milk with lunch.
There's also a vending machine with plastic bottles of water, iced tea, flavored water and Gatorade/Powerade (12 oz) for $1.00.
