COOL KIDS CASH CLUB
**Those that have opened their accounts already- there will be banking at school to make deposits on May 30th  and June 13th at 9:00!
Cool kids cash club- check out the introductory letter!  This program will allow students to being banking at school. They will learn the importance of saving and will be able to make deposits into their savings account twice a month.  This is an easy and terrific way to start saving NOW for middle school field trips!  Each year the 6th graders attend Nature’s Classroom at a cost of around $600. The Washington DC trip is held every other year so your child would have the opportunity to attend DC as either a 7th or 8th grader. This trip costs around $1000.  If you being saving NOW, as early as preschool or Kindergarten, your child could easily save enough money to cover both of these trips by the time they become a middle school student!
Students will also learn skills about keeping a savings account pass book and other financial skills that are necessary to become financially responsible adults.
Parents who are interested in having their child participate in this program, will need to open their child’s account at Fidelity and then on-going deposits can be made conveniently at school.

Please feel free to stop in at either Fidelity branch in Leominster to open your account. Please let them know it is for St. Anna’s Cool Cash Club and/or email and let me know you’ve opened an account for your child so I can let you know when banking at school will begin.
If you have questions about the program, please contact Ruby Vargas from Fidelity Bank at rvargas@fidelitybankonline.com  or 978-353-2701

FOOD ALLERGY AWARENESS WEEK
As we recognize food allergy awareness week, I want to remind the school community that St. Anna School is a 'nut aware' school.  We are not 'nut free' as we want to be sensitive to the needs of all of our students but our priority is to provide a safe environment for all students, including those with food allergies.  School and classroom events serving food must be nut free.  We cannot risk an anaphylactic reaction due to food we serve.  Classrooms with students who have peanut or other food allergies should refrain from serving food containing these allergens at any classroom event.  Families should also be sensitive to the allergies of students in their child's class when packing lunches for school and especially field trips.  Please help us keep ALL of students safe at school.

LIBRARY BOOKS

The school year is quickly winding down and everyone is looking forward to summer. Please remember to return your library books before Tuesday, May 30th.  This is the last day we can accept returned books. It will allow the library ladies to process the returns and organize the shelves. Students will be billed for any books not returned by that date.  We have enjoyed having your children visit the library this year.

FIELD DAY
We are very excited to announce that Field Day (K-8) will take place on June 9th  with a rain date of June 12th. We are going to again bus students to the MA Youth Soccer Fields over by Kimballs!!! We will spend the day there playing a variety of field day events at each station. We will enjoy a bagged lunch break with additional activities for those that need to keep moving!!!  We will have tented areas for shade as well as a first aid station.  Students will have plenty of water too but don’t forget the sunscreen. We will be in need of parent volunteers to help run the various stations, help set up and clean up.
Sign up here to volunteer!  We appreciate your help
