FAREWELL MR. MARCOUX
We want to wish Mr. Marcoux the very best in the next chapter of his journey. It is with bitter-sweet emotion that he announces his retirement. Mr. Marcoux and his wife will be relocating to Maine where they will live with their son, daughter-in-law and 15 month old grandson. He will be very busy renovating their new home. Mr. Marcoux will miss us dearly and the music teaching and ministry that has been his calling for 40 years.
Thank YOU Mr. Marcoux for all you have done for our school and we wish you nothing but the best.

OPERATION MILITARY CARE K-9
The NJHS is doing a service project and collecting items for K-9’s – Our US Military Working Dog Teams who have been deployed need our help to supply them with some items they need (Kongs, poop bags, dog treats made in the USA, grooming tools, rubber balls etc.) The NJHS will be collecting items until June 1st.
Mark your calendars and join us as our preschool through 5th graders delight us with their angelic voices and musical genius on Thursday, May 31st at 6:00PM. All students should wear their “Sunday Best”. Preschool students are all invited to participate and will meet as a group in the cafeteria at 5:40, and they can be picked up in the café after the show.
We are very excited to announce that Field Day (K-8) will take place on June 8th (there is no rain date but an indoor contingency plan) We are going to again bus students to the MA Youth Soccer Fields over by Kimballs!!! We will spend the day there playing a variety of field day events at each station. We will enjoy a bagged lunch break, watermelon and additional activities for those that need to keep moving!!! We will have tented areas for shade as well as a first aid station. Students will have plenty of water too but don’t forget the sunscreen. We will be in need of parent volunteers to help run the various stations, help set up and clean up.
Sign up here to volunteer! We appreciate your help

BASEBALL IN EDUCATION DAY
All Students and Staff from grades Kindergarten through 8th grade will be attending the Worcester Bravehearts Baseball in Education Day baseball game vs the Brockton Rox on Tuesday, June 5th. This is an all day trip. We will be leaving by 9:30 and returning by 3:00. Choir will be singing the National Anthem prior to the game.
The cost of the trip is $6 per student and includes free hat and lunch (hot dog, chips, package of cookies and bottle water).Students can also pack water/snacks to bring with them. The game will be held at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field (on the campus of Holy Cross) in Worcester. The Bravehearts are a Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) Team. Thank you to the PTO for providing the bussing for this trip.
We have plenty of teachers and staff attending the trip which will keep the adult to student ration below 1-10. No student will go to the rest rooms alone. An adult will always accompany them. We also have box seats because we are a big group and this will keep us all together and close to the bathrooms. Students should wear their gym uniforms. This will show unity as a group as well allow us to keep track of students easily. Choir will wear their choir shirts. This is a fun event and not as slow as some baseball games. There’s entertainment between innings as well as when each team switches at bats. Remember the sun screen!

COOL KIDS CASH CLUB
Open Your Account this summer to be ready to start banking in the fall. School Banking is on Tuesday mornings every other week! Teach your children to save early 😊
Cool kids cash club- check out the introductory letter! This program will allow students to being banking at school. They will learn the importance of saving and will be able to make deposits into their savings account twice a month. This is an easy and terrific way to start saving NOW for middle school field trips! Each year the 6th graders attend Nature’s Classroom at a cost of around $600. The Washington DC trip is held every other year so your child would have the opportunity to attend DC as either a 7th or 8th grader. This trip costs around $1000. If you being saving NOW, as early as preschool or Kindergarten, your child could easily save enough money to cover both of these trips by the time they become a middle school student!
Students will also learn skills about keeping a savings account pass book and other financial skills that are necessary to become financially responsible adults.
Parents who are interested in having their child participate in this program, will need to open their child’s account at Fidelity and then on-going deposits can be made conveniently at school.
Please feel free to stop in at either Fidelity branch in Leominster to open your account. Please let them know it is for St. Anna’s Cool Cash Club.
If you have questions about the program, please contact Ruby Vargas from Fidelity Bank at firstname.lastname@example.org
The school year is quickly winding down and everyone is looking forward to summer. Please remember to return your library books before May 30th . This is the last day we can accept returned books. It will allow the library ladies to process the returns and organize the shelves. Students will be billed for any books not returned by that date. We have enjoyed having your children visit the library this year.
