St. Anna Parish would like to cordially invite you to a very special reception with light refreshments on Saturday, June 2nd, immediately following the 4:00p.m. mass. This occasion is to honor the anniversaries of both Deacon Jim and Father Fred who respectively celebrate ten years of diaconate and priestly ministry this year! We hope you will join us to show them how much we love and appreciate what they do for our parish family and school, as well as the Diocese of Worcester.
We are very excited to announce that Field Day (K-8) will take place on June 8th (there is no rain date but an indoor contingency plan) We are going to again bus students to the MA Youth Soccer Fields over by Kimballs!!! We will spend the day there playing a variety of field day events at each station. We will enjoy a bagged lunch break, watermelon and additional activities for those that need to keep moving!!! We will have tented areas for shade as well as a first aid station. Students will have plenty of water too but don’t forget the sunscreen. We will be in need of parent volunteers to help run the various stations, help set up and clean up.
Donations of small waters, ice and whole watermelons can be dropped off at school any day next week.
Sign up here to volunteer! We appreciate your help
Please sign the permission slip for your child(ren) Permission Slip
BASEBALL IN EDUCATION DAY
All Students and Staff from grades Kindergarten through 8th grade will be attending the Worcester Bravehearts Baseball in Education Day baseball game vs the Brockton Rox on Tuesday, June 5th. This is an all day trip. We will be leaving by 9:30 and returning by 3:00. Choir will be singing the National Anthem prior to the game.
The cost of the trip is $6 per student and includes free hat and lunch (hot dog, chips, package of cookies and bottle water).Students can also pack water/snacks to bring with them. The game will be held at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field (on the campus of Holy Cross) in Worcester. The Bravehearts are a Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) Team. Thank you to the PTO for providing the bussing for this trip.
We have plenty of teachers and staff attending the trip which will keep the adult to student ration below 1-10. No student will go to the rest rooms alone. An adult will always accompany them. We also have box seats because we are a big group and this will keep us all together and close to the bathrooms. Students should wear their gym uniforms. This will show unity as a group as well allow us to keep track of students easily. Choir will wear their choir shirts. Please keep an eye on the weather as they are predicting a cool, raw day with possible showers. This is a fun event and not as slow as some baseball games. There’s entertainment between innings as well as when each team switches at bats. Remember the sun screen!
PLEASE FILL OUT THE PERMISSION SLIP and don't forget to send in your $6 on Monday if you have not already done so.
YEARBOOK AUTOGRAPH PARTY
Students who purchased a yearbook are invited to an Autograph Party at 2:00 on Wednesday, June 6th. Students will have an hour to sign each other’s books. Pens will be provided or students can bring their own. If you purchased a book and do NOT want it signed, please let Mrs. Priddy know and she will send it home, your child is still welcome to attend the get together and sign other books. Students are able to keep their books at school to sign the following couple of days or take them home right away. If you are unsure whether or not you purchased a yearbook, please check in with Mrs. Priddy. We have a limited supply of ‘extra’ books.
Students who will be in Kindergarten to Grade 8 next year will ‘step up’ to their new classes on Wednesday, June 13th from 1:45-2:45.
