Dear SACS Families,
...and so, we wait. Our first week of Advent draws to a close...and we wait. We wait in hope. We wait in longing. We wait for the coming of Emmanuel, the Light of the World, the Prince of Peace, our Redeemer and Savior. Our St. Anna foyer, hallways and classrooms reflect our hope and anticipation for the coming of our Lord. Advent wreathes are on full display with our first candles "lit." Perhaps many of your homes follow this beautiful tradition, as well.
...and so, we wait...and we pray. May the light of the Advent wreath remind us of Jesus who is the true Light of the World. May the warmth of His love remain in your hearts and homes throughout this special time of preparation. Peace to all as you celebrate your own traditions with your loved ones.
LIVING NATIVITYPreK3 to Grade 3 Christmas Show this year will include a Living Nativity. All are welcome to attend this heartwarming performance on Friday, December 11th at 1:30pm in the school gymnasium.
HEARTS FOR HEATThank you to everyone that baked delicious goodies! We had lots of creative sweet treats this year. Thank you to all of you that shopped at the bake sale. You helped us raise over $700 for Hearts for Heat that will help those in need this winter season.
GIFT CARDS MAKE GREAT GIFTS-- St. Anna PTO - Great Lake Scrips Gift Card Program The St. Anna PTO will once again offer "One Stop Shopping" for all of your Christmas Gift Card needs! You can order all of your gift cards in one place, at one time and they are delivered directly to the school. No running from store to store or standing in long lines. There are over 300 major retailers to choose from and the biggest bonus - the retailers donate a portion of the cards value back to St. Anna School! It is fundraising while you shop! You can also order gift cards and use them for your everyday purchases. Stock up on Dunkin Donuts, Panera or Starbucks cards and use them to purchase your morning coffee.
For more detailed instructions, please click here. Also, if you don't want to create an online account, you can download the order form and submit it with your payment to Mrs. Priddy in the main office.
The PTO will be placing 2 orders this Christmas season with a possible 3rd if needed. The order deadlines are Monday, December 7th and Monday, December 14th.
Paper order forms need to be turned in to the main office before the end of the school day, on the day of the deadline. Online orders can be submitted up to 6:30pm EST on the day of the deadline.
Please email Laura Pompei at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
#MAKE A DIFFERENCEThis month our first grade students will be singing Christmas Carols at Sunrise Living on December 14th to spread holiday cheer to others. Children will also be learning more about the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy as we embrace the Year of Mercy even further as it officially begins this coming Tuesday.
SOCKS FOR SANTAGrade 6 is entering their final month of their service project in which they have been collecting white cotton or thermal socks or cotton underwear to be distributed to homeless shelters, women’s shelters, and the elderly of our community. We often don’t realize or simply forget that those in need have needs other than food. Please consider helping those who are in need of socks or underwear for the cold winter ahead.
