Dear SACS Families,
As the second week of Advent comes to a close, we continue to wait. While we wait… for the birth of Jesus… we continue to celebrate the Christmas season in many special ways. We were delighted by a performance from our preschool through grade 3 children as they performed the Living Nativity and Christmas concert this afternoon. I just love listening to them sing and can feel the good cheer spreading. Don’t miss our Drama Club’s Christmas Variety Show next week on Thursday at 7:00PM.
We will continue to celebrate Christmas in the next 7 school days. We will have a Polar Express Day and classroom parties to bring our celebrating to a close as we head into Christmas vacation and celebrate the birth of Jesus with our families.
GIFT CARDS MAKE GREAT GIFTS-- St. Anna PTO - Great Lake Scrips Gift Card Program The St. Anna PTO will once again offer "One Stop Shopping" for all of your Christmas Gift Card needs! You can order all of your gift cards in one place, at one time and they are delivered directly to the school. No running from store to store or standing in long lines. There are over 300 major retailers to choose from and the biggest bonus - the retailers donate a portion of the cards value back to St. Anna School! It is fundraising while you shop! You can also order gift cards and use them for your everyday purchases. Stock up on Dunkin Donuts, Panera or Starbucks cards and use them to purchase your morning coffee.
For more detailed instructions, please click here. Also, if you don't want to create an online account, you can download the order form and submit it with your payment to Mrs. Priddy in the main office.
The final order date is Monday, December 14th. Paper order forms need to be turned in to the main office before the end of the school day, on the day of the deadline. Online orders can be submitted up to 6:30pm EST on the day of the deadline.
Please email Laura Pompei at email@example.com with any questions.
#MAKE A DIFFERENCEThis month our first grade students will be singing Christmas Carols at Sunrise Living on December 14th to spread holiday cheer to others. Children will also be learning more about the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy as we embrace the Year of Mercy even further as it officially begins this coming Tuesday.
SOCKS FOR SANTAGrade 6 is entering their final month of their service project in which they have been collecting white cotton or thermal socks or cotton underwear to be distributed to homeless shelters, women’s shelters, and the elderly of our community. We often don’t realize or simply forget that those in need have needs other than food. Please consider helping those who are in need of socks or underwear for the cold winter ahead.
BASKETBALL SEASON IS HERE!All of our basketball schedules are posted on the website. Come cheer on our students at one of their games this season. We can also use help at our concession stand and/or admissions table throughout the season. We ask that parents of players try to volunteer for 2 hours during the season. If you volunteer, you will earn a season pass that will get you into all of the games played at St. Anna’s. Parents who do not volunteer will need to pay the admissions fee of $3 per game. If your child is not playing, but you would still LOVE to sign up to help at the concessions- we welcome your help!
You can sign up to help on-line or by signing up at the concession stand any Saturday. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Q7xkOwIOjhkDQ-qAMtxLy21hRUkz13Dq_U8q6ICRCUw/edit?usp=sharing

You can have your child’s picture taken on Tuesday. All students have their picture taken to be included on the composite class picture.
