This is an easy and terrific way to start saving NOW for middle school field trips! Each year the 6th graders attend Nature’s Classroom at a cost of around $600. The Washington DC trip is held every other year so your child would have the opportunity to attend DC as either a 7th or 8th grader. This trip costs around $1000. If you being saving NOW, as early as preschool or Kindergarten, your child could easily save enough money to cover both of these trips by the time they become a middle school student! Students will also learn skills about keeping a savings account pass book and other financial skills that are necessary to become financially responsible adults. Parents who are interested in having their child participate in this program, will need to open their child’s account at Fidelity and then on-going deposits can be made conveniently at school. They also have a reading incentive for a FREE t-shirt and will have additional promotional opportunities throughout the program! Please feel free to stop in at either Fidelity branch in Leominster to open your account. Please let them know it is for St. Anna’s Cool Cash Club and/or email and let me know you’ve opened an account for your child so I can let you know when banking at school will begin.
