Springtime means flowers and BOOKS are in bloom!!
The Spring Book Fair will be open on Monday, April 24et One free) fair! The "free" book is always paired with the closest matched price, so you are assured the best possible deal! For example; if a person selects four books and two books are priced at $20 each, and the other two are priced at $5 each, the person will only pay $25 for all four books. And that means more bang for your book bucks!! We except cash, check, or charge as forms of payment. Students will have ample opportunity to shop the fair during the week. Parents and relatives are also welcome! We encourage everyone to check it out, you never know what great deals you might find!
We are looking for volunteers to help set up and run the fair. If you are able to help out any of the days, please use the "Book Fair Volunteer Sign Up Sheet" to add your name to the time slots that you are available. Thank you VERY much for your time! We couldn't offer this wonderful event without the help of our volunteers!
COOL KIDS CASH CLUB
Coming soon… the cool kids cash club- check out the introductory letter! This program will allow students to being banking at school. They will learn the importance of saving and will be able to make deposits into their savings account twice a month. This is an easy and terrific way to start saving NOW for middle school field trips! Each year the 6th graders attend Nature’s Classroom at a cost of around $600. The Washington DC trip is held every other year so your child would have the opportunity to attend DC as either a 7th or 8th grader. This trip costs around $1000. If you being saving NOW, as early as preschool or Kindergarten, your child could easily save enough money to cover both of these trips by the time they become a middle school student!
Students will also learn skills about keeping a savings account pass book and other financial skills that are necessary to become financially responsible adults.
Parents who are interested in having their child participate in this program, will need to open their child’s account at Fidelity and then on-going deposits can be made conveniently at school.

We will need parent volunteers to make the food, and volunteers to supervise the children that day while they are at lunch and recess. *New this year* we want to make this special week a "duty free" week for the teachers! We will be looking for volunteers to cover lunch duty and bus duty to give our All Star Teachers a little extra time for themselves! Please use the Teacher Appreciation Week Volunteer Sign-Up Sheet to add your name where ever you can help out! Thank you!
